The Future Starts as A Narration

By Ian Ortega

How does the future get created? What’s the point that triggers everything? When is gun sounded?  What’s always the big bang point for the future? The more I observe creations, the more I realize that it starts as a narration. Everything starts with a logos. The word then goes on to infect the psyche of the creators at the time, and collaboratively and competitively, this future starts getting created.

Cryptocurrency started with the famous Satoshi paper; the rest is now history. There’s always a manifesto that defines a great company. There’s always that piece of paper or that initial meeting where the idea is first presented. And then, from this initial meeting, the evangelists go out spreading the word. It’s from these evangelists that action is then taken, and the idea takes on a life of its own. The future emerges from this process.

We look back and think of what we have managed to create with O.G in months. This is the narration of Ugandan Excellence, Ugandan exceptionalism. It is the narration of Innovation and Strategy. It is a narration of possibilities, of process transformations, of efficiencies, of radical ways to think about doing business in Uganda, and overall, improving this society to which we belong.

I thus implore you to start being part of this narration. Become an evangelist for O.G, introduce someone to this website. If you have a business whose story you want to capture, then invite us. Let’s write that case study. Let it get published here. Let’s compete and collaborate. We are building a future together, one reader at a time, one business at a time, one story at a time.
