Daniel Kauta is a distinguished supply chain professional in Uganda with extensive experience in the management and supervision of supply chain operations. Kauta began his career at Warid Telecom where he excelled as a Finance and Operations Executive. He then moved to Strogen Uganda and Posta Uganda where he handled and transformed the Inventory handling operations, optimized performance, and efficiency within these organizations.
In recent times, Daniel Kauta worked as a Transport Planning Manager at Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL). While in this role, he oversaw the initiation of the palletised outward supply chain. Kauta was also responsible for the completion of the logistics capacity enhancement projects. In the same role, Kauta pioneered the third-party logistics safety program across the Diageo markets in Africa. He’s considered a trailblazer in the execution of transport safety projects in Uganda and the broader FMCG markets in Africa.
Currently, Kauta supports ML Services SARL, a major player in Mine Supply Chain Services in DR. Congo and locally consults under Bridge Logistics Uganda Limited. Throughout his career, Kauta has gained industrial and managerial experience in procurement, Commercial and Humanitarian Logistics, Inventory Management, Transport Planning and Scheduling, Health and Safety Management and Supplier Management.
Kauta is passionate about supply chain processes, innovation for improvements, ensuring safe operations while staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends. Daniel Kauta has professional memberships with the chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Chartered institute of Procurement and Supply chain and Humanitarian Logistics Association. This reflects his commitment to professional development and industry best practices as he continues to make significant contributions to the supply chain landscape in East Africa and beyond.
