Joweria Nabuuma

Joweria Nabuuma is a distinguished Events Management professional and a leading figure in Uganda’s event industry. She is the Founder and Managing Director of Kiara Events Limited, a boutique, full-service event management agency. With over a decade of experience, Nabuuma’s career began at The Observer Media, where she worked closely with the renowned media maestro, Kevin Aliro, as both his understudy and Personal Assistant.

Nabuuma later joined Vision Group, where she progressed from Personal Assistant to the Sales and Marketing Assistant, Events Supervisor, and ultimately, Events Manager. As Events Manager, she revolutionized the events landscape in Uganda, setting new standards for the entire East African region. Her legacy includes landmark events such as Bride and Groom Expo, Harvest Money Expo, Coca Cola Rated Next, Embuutu Y’embuutikizi, as well as the Pakasa and Yiiya Sente Forums.

Driven by her passion to make Uganda the Events Capital of East Africa, Nabuuma has spearheaded numerous successful events through Kiara Events, including the Baby and Kids Expo East Africa, PPDA Business Expo and the Uganda Medical Expo.

Nabuuma holds a degree in Administrative and Secretarial Science from Kyambogo University and a postgraduate certification in Project Management and Planning from Makerere University . In 2015, she earned a professional certification in Events Management from the University of Cape Town.

From corporate meetings to festivals, weddings to business expos, Nabuuma brings a meticulous, bespoke touch to event design, creation, and execution.
