The Ortega Group Philosophy
There’s the Ortega Way to things and that starts with things such as ‘We do not have clients, we have partners.’ Our philosophy is that of ‘Ugandan Excellence.’ We believe in the idea of Ugandan Excellence and the only way to show that belief is by creating it for individuals and for organizations. We also believe that vision must constantly be reiterated, there’s nothing like over-communication of vision, ours is that of Ugandan Excellence.
We are a data-modelled organizations. We believe in the intersection of the data and the stories, the intuition, and the numbers. We see utilize the three facets of data – the descriptive, the correlational and the inferential. We pride in our strong data-culture. With data, we can always achieve process predictability and that’s what we aspire for as Ortega Group, predictable processes. We wear the hats of Quantitative technicians and bring that insight to the work we do!
We believe in doing important work, and at Ortega Group, every work is important. And if work is important, then it ought to be excellent.

Why Are We Different?

- Purpose and Process: We are first and foremost underpinned by our purpose. Our purpose is about unlocking Ugandan excellence. At the heart of our purpose is our vision, our mission and our values. We believe in the right process, process over the result. Once the process is right, the result will always be right. As such, we are obsessed with building the efficient and effective processes and letting the processes deliver the results.

- Planet and Profit: As we go about our work, we are reminded that we are stewards in our work. We aim to be carbon-neutral in all our operations. We thus aim to minimize our carbon impact even in the smallest of things we do. We believe small compounds to big. If we can perfect the small, the big will take care of itself. We keep a sane balance of planet and profit.
